ABOUT HER AND HIM

 Bio: Jacqueline Tan, writer/editor

Jacqueline has been a fulltime writer for 13 years, starting out as a journalist/editor. She was the former fashion editor at FEMALE magazine, and beauty editor at CLEO magazine, chasing the latest in all things gorgeous to the eye.
Being seduced by the lure of the crazy and creative, she became an advertising copywriter, conceptualizing television and print commercials and dreaming up copy for ad campaigns.

Now, as a freelance book and magazine writer and advertising copywriter, she divides her time between copywriting and conceptualizing advertising campaigns for ad agencies, and writing fashion, beauty and lifestyle articles for Singapore’s top publications like Elle, FEMALE, L’Officiel and Harper’s Bazaar.

Jacqueline has co-written several travel-based guidebooks like South Africa Chic and World’s Best Hotels, the London-based TimeOut Singapore travel guide book, and a good deal more on fashion, beauty and good living. Food, travel, history, animals, fashion, classic literature and music are some of the top loves of her life. She is currently working on a book for the Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts and collaborates seamlessly on projects with her writing partner, Clifford Wong.

Bio:  Clifford Wong, writer/editor
Clifford has a decade of experience working with text, ranging from being
head editor of national legal journals and publications (both for New
Zealand and Singapore).

Clifford is currently writing a novel about being a “born again Asian” – using life in Singapore as a backdrop. Clifford is an avid sportsman and has represented Singapore in Touch Football in  2003. He loves Muay Thai, travelling and new experiences.

Clifford is legally trained, unfortunately - but that hasn’t stopped him from crossing the “T’s” and mostly, taking care of the “I’s”. Clifford hosted a Channel News Asia show “Singapore Discovered” in 2010 on the food, activities and past times people can experience in Singapore and writes for the Singapore International Foundation website, Singapore Kopitiam (www.singaporekopitiam.sg).  He collaborates seamlessly on projects with his writing partner, Jacqueline Tan.
